We have noticed a decline in the quality of prints that we are seeing locally. With 35mm film not being as popular as it once was quality is not perpetual coming beginning and many labs have been forced to terminate processing film. The chemical process need a consistent amount of film going through it. Without a good amount of film going through it never really gets to a unchanging constancy for warranted results. Reduced contrast, exposure latitude and increased grain are all indicators of a lab that is lacking the appropriate quality control. When film was at its peak our deposit was the biggest standalone lab in the southern hemisphere (Kodak express figures) with the superior days nights seeing our place process over 100 rolls per 24 hours. We regularly test our chemistry and know what to look for. Our fulltime lab operator has been in the industry for an almost 30 years. Photo restorations (photos never leave the premises to ensure). Passport Photos, all ages and all countries. Though we are a retail store we also run a expansive variety of concise courses on digital photography, both in house and out on location. Thanks guys! Everything was explained healthy and help was readily available when needed. It was a fabulous introduction to gaining more handle over final image quality accepting the parts of menus I had been nervous to play with. Or depart a message and we will get back to you shortly.
